White-label AI development for agencies
You sell it. We build it. Your client never learns we exist.
White-label AI development is when an agency sells an AI project to its client and a specialist partner builds it invisibly, delivering under the agency's brand. The agency owns the relationship, the contract and the margin; the partner owns the engineering and never appears.
MacroCoderz does this for digital and marketing agencies in the US, UK and EU. We build AI agents, RAG and document-search systems, and workflow automation - in your repos, under your brand, on fixed scope and fixed price. A mutual NDA and non-solicit are signed before scoping. Typical projects run $4,500 to $60,000 and 3 to 16 weeks, and you keep every line of code.
Your client never sees our name
This is the thing agencies actually worry about, so it goes first and it is unhedged:
- 01Your client never sees our name. Not on a deliverable, not in a commit, not in a document footer, not in a sub-processor list you hand them.
- 02We never contact your client directly. No emails, no calls, no LinkedIn connection requests - during the project or after it.
- 03Mutual NDA and non-solicit before scoping.Signed before we see anything confidential, covering both your client and your staff.
- 04We work under your identity.Your Git host, your email alias, your Slack. Commit authorship is whatever you configure it to be.
- 05We join calls as your team, if you want.Under your brand, with your terminology. Or we stay entirely behind you and brief you beforehand. Your call, either way.
We are not listed as a partner of your agency anywhere, and we will not ask you for a testimonial, a logo or a case study naming you unless you offer one in writing.
What we build under your brand
AI agents and chatbots
Support agents, internal copilots and task agents that call your client's APIs and know when to hand off to a human.
Document search and RAG
Retrieval over contracts, tickets, manuals or a knowledge base, with citations back to the source document.
Workflow automation
Lead routing, document processing, data entry and handoffs wired into the tools your client already pays for.
Analytics copilots
Natural-language querying over your client's warehouse, with the SQL shown so nobody has to trust a black box.
AI readiness audits
A written assessment of what is worth building, what is not, and what the data would need to be first. Sells as a paid discovery.
Model integration
Adding AI into an existing product without a rebuild: model selection, auth and data boundaries, evals, rollback.
If your client needs ongoing capacity rather than a project, the same engineers are available as a dedicated pod inside your agency.
White-label AI platform or build partner?
"White-label AI" covers two different businesses. Some providers sell a finished platform that you rebrand and resell by subscription. Others - MacroCoderz among them - build a custom system for each client and deliver it under your brand. Both are legitimate; they suit different clients.
| Compared on | Rebrandable SaaS platform | Custom build partner |
|---|---|---|
| What you resell | A subscription to an existing product - usually a chatbot or agent builder - with your logo on it | A system built for one client's workflow, systems and data, delivered as your agency's work |
| Who owns it | The platform vendor. You and your client rent access | Your agency, from the first commit, and you can assign it onward to your client |
| Customisation | Whatever the platform's settings, templates and integrations allow | Built to fit: integrations with the client's own systems, permissions and data boundaries |
| Pricing model | A recurring fee to the vendor, typically per seat, per agent or by usage, which you mark up | A fixed price per project, which you mark up. Model and hosting spend goes on the client's accounts |
| What your client gets | Quick setup on a shared product that keeps working while the subscription is paid | Software they can own outright, with documentation, runbooks and a recorded handover |
| When it is the right choice | Several clients need the same standard assistant, the platform already does it, and you want recurring revenue without engineering | The client needs integrations with their own systems, has sensitive or regulated data, or needs something they can own and extend |
If a platform already covers what your client needs, it is usually the cheaper answer. If you are weighing a build partner against hiring your own AI engineer, see white-label AI versus hiring in-house.
How the engagement works
- 01day 0
NDA and non-solicit
Signed before we see a brief. Yours or ours, whichever is faster for your legal process.
- 0245-60 minutes
Scoping call
You bring what your client asked for. We come back with what is actually buildable, what it will cost, and what we would not attempt. If we think the project is a bad idea we say so before you have quoted it.
- 032-3 working days
Fixed quote and timeline
One number, one date, a written scope, and an explicit list of what is out of scope. You mark it up and put it in front of your client.
- 043-16 weeks
Build
In your repos, against your standards. Weekly demo, written status you can forward to your client verbatim, and a staging environment on your infrastructure or ours.
- 05final week
Handover
Documentation, runbooks, eval suites and a recorded walkthrough, all authored in your agency's voice.
The long version, including what we need from you at each stage, is on how a white-label engagement works.
What you quote, what it costs you, what you keep
These are the four project shapes agencies bring us most often, with the range we charge and the range agencies typically resell at. Margin is on the mid-point of each range.
| Project type | You quote your client | MacroCoderz cost | Your margin | Timeline |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| AI chatbot + knowledge base | $8,000-12,000 | $4,500-5,500 | ~50% | 3-4 weeks |
| Document search / RAG | $14,000-22,000 | $5,500-9,000 | ~60% | 5-7 weeks |
| Workflow automation suite | $10,000-18,000 | $4,500-7,500 | ~57% | 4-6 weeks |
| Custom agent platform | $30,000-60,000 | $14,000-26,000 | ~56% | 10-16 weeks |
Model and infrastructure spend is not in these figures. It is billed to your client's accounts directly, because reselling API credit with a markup is how fixed-price AI projects quietly go underwater.
A document search build, start to finish
A 20-person marketing agency has a client - a mid-size logistics firm - whose operations team wastes hours hunting through six years of carrier contracts and rate sheets. The agency quotes a document search system at $16,000, six weeks.
- Agency quotes the client
- $16,000, fixed
- MacroCoderz fixed price to the agency
- $6,500
- Agency margin
- $9,500, or 59%
- Client's own API and hosting spend
- ~$180/month, on their account
- Agency time
- ~12 hours across six weeks
- Wk 1Document inventory, chunking strategy, a retrieval baseline on 200 real contracts, and the eval set that defines 'good'.
- Wk 2Ingestion pipeline for PDFs and scanned documents, plus OCR for the pre-2019 archive nobody mentioned at scoping.
- Wk 3Hybrid retrieval: vector search over clauses, structured filters over carrier, region and effective date.
- Wk 4Answer generation with citations back to the source page, and a refusal path when retrieval finds nothing.
- Wk 5Permissions, audit logging, and the admin screen the operations lead actually uses.
- Wk 6Evaluation run against the week-1 set, load testing, documentation, handover in the agency's voice.
The agency invoices $16,000, pays $6,500, keeps $9,500, and their client believes - correctly, as far as the contract is concerned - that their agency built it.
Two systems that map onto these shapes
Both were delivered for an end client; the second has been delivered through a partner relationship.
- 01Klebbix hybrid retrievalMulti-tenant document search across PDFs, spreadsheets and a relational database. 68% lower query latency, 35% lower inference cost, 93%+ relevance accuracy, full tenant isolation under GDPR and ISO-27001 scope.
- 02Self-healing engineering agentAn agent that generates, tests and repairs code in isolated Docker sandboxes. 87% first-loop repair rate; debugging fell from 4-5 hours per iteration to under 15 minutes.
Three kinds of work we turn down
So you do not spend a scoping call finding out.
- 01Agencies who want us to own the client. If you want someone to take the relationship, the account management and the invoicing, that is a referral, not a white-label build. We do not do it.
- 02Projects under $4,500.The scoping, contracting and handover overhead is larger than the build. A good freelancer will serve you better and we will say so.
- 03Anything needing people on site. Our engineering team works remotely. If the work requires a badge, a factory floor or a room in your client's office, we are the wrong partner.
Also worth saying plainly: if your client's problem does not need AI, we will tell you during scoping rather than build something impressive that does not earn its running cost.
Frequently asked questions
No. We do not contact your client, our name appears on no deliverable, no commit, no document and no invoice they see, and we are not listed anywhere as a partner of yours. If your client asks who built it, the answer is your agency.
We join the call under your brand, with your email domain if you provide one, introduced as your engineering team. That is a normal request and we do it regularly. If you would rather we never appear, we stay behind you and brief you before every technical call instead.
Yes, at no extra cost. Give us an alias on your domain and a Slack or Teams guest seat and we will show up as part of your team, use your terminology and never mention MacroCoderz.
Both, before scoping begins, not after the proposal. We sign a mutual NDA and a non-solicit covering your client and your staff. If you have your own paper we will sign yours rather than push ours.
The non-solicit prevents it contractually, and our business model makes it self-defeating. Agencies are repeat buyers; one direct approach would end that and be visible to every other agency we work with. We have never done it and the contract says we cannot.
Your agency does, from the first commit, and you can assign it onward to your client. That includes source code, prompts, evaluation suites, fine-tuning data, infrastructure definitions and documentation. We retain no licence and keep no copy after handover.
Fixed scope, fixed price, for exactly this reason: you are usually selling your client a fixed-price project and you cannot absorb an hourly overrun. We quote a number and a date after a scoping call, and the number does not move unless the scope does.
If it overruns on our side, we absorb it - that is what fixed scope means. If it overruns because the scope changed, we quote the change before doing it, so you can decide whether to eat it or bill your client for it.
Yes, and we prefer to. Your Git host, your CI, your cloud account, your issue tracker, your coding standards. Commits use an identity you control, so the repository history carries your agency's name rather than ours.
$4,500 for a project build. Below that the scoping and handover overhead is larger than the build, and you would be better served by a freelancer - we will say so rather than take the work.
A scoping call within two working days, a fixed quote within three, and a kickoff within a week of signing.
Tell us at scoping. We run GDPR-scoped deployments and have delivered against ISO-27001 requirements, with per-tenant isolation, encryption at rest and in transit, and a DPA. We do not have SOC 2 Type II yet and we will not imply otherwise.
Send us the brief your client sent you
NDA first, scoping call within two working days, fixed quote within three.
